Smart relais for motorhomes and other vehicles

The NDS Smart-Link SL12-100 (12 V/100 A) is a smart relais that automatically switches to the right power source for your vehicle during driving or when standing still. When you want use some equipment during travelling, the Smart-Link SL12-100 takes care of the power supply to heavy devices from the car battery to spare the service battery. When standing still the relais switches to the service battery or the 230V input (when available). The SL12-100 relais can be installed on any existing motorhome system.

Please be sure that the capacity of yoyr batteries and dynamo is sufficient.

When you have an airconditionin with (for instance) a power consumption of 1Kw, together with the other devices you want to use during travelling, then the use of a dynamo is recmommended of 150A or more.

When you want to use a 230V device at places where you stand still and no 230V power supply is available, please be sure that the battery capacity of service battteries is sufficient during the use of the device you want to use.

Use in combination with transformer

Next to the Smart-Link your motorhome needs to have a transformer, strong enough for the devices you want to use. In most cases a clear sinus transformer is the best option (for instance for airconditioners, coffee/espresso-devices, hear dryers, electric bike loaders or other 230V devices). If you want to switch the transformer automatically to mains voltage (when available), then the transformer needs to have the so calles IVT-function.

Always an airconditioned motorhome

The NDS Smart-Link is an automatic battery-switch for for instance your airconditioner. It takes care of the airco both during travelling or when standing still. Below you can see examples in which way it works with or without 230V power supply:
